Pedlar’s Lake

Glacial lake · 15 min from our homes · Best paired with the Conor Pass drive · 15 min from Cloghane

A glacial corrie lake in the cliffs beside the Conor Pass road.

Pedlar’s Lake, Co. Kerry

Pedlar’s Lake (Loch an Duna) sits in a rocky corrie just below the summit of the Conor Pass, a short scramble up from the waterfall car park on the Dingle side. Ice-scooped cliffs wrap around dark clear water, with views back down the valley to Brandon Bay and the north coast. The climb takes ten minutes and rewards like a mountain summit; on a warm day the brave swim in water that never really warms up.
