A restored 19th-century townhouse in the centre of Listowel, Ireland’s literary capital: limestone walls, considered interiors and room for ten. Two living rooms, a big kitchen-diner and a walled courtyard for long evenings.

59 William Street is a holiday home in Listowel for ten, a 19th century townhouse in the centre of town, restored with its limestone walls and let whole, over three floors above the street. It sleeps ten in four bedrooms and suits a family gathering, a wedding party or a group of friends.

Downstairs the front door opens into a TV lounge, then the open-plan room by the old stone wall with the second sitting area, the dining table for six and the kitchen. The kitchen has full size appliances, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Off it are a guest toilet and a utility room with two washing machines and a dryer, and through the back is a walled courtyard for a coffee outside.

The bedrooms are spread over the upper floors. On the first floor, a double bedroom and the main bathroom with a bath and a shower. On the second, two double bedrooms and a third sitting room with a sofa, a TV and the piano. On the top floor, the twin room with two single beds and its own shower room. There is no lift, and all the bedrooms are upstairs.

Fast Wi-Fi runs through the house. A travel cot and a high chair are available on request, and a starter pack of tea, coffee, oil, salt and laundry capsules is left for you. The fireplace is decorative. No pets at this home.

There is no private drive: paid town parking is at the door for unloading and free parking about 100 metres away. Check-in is from 4pm with a lockbox at the back of the house and check-out by 10am. It is let as holiday accommodation in Listowel by the night or the week, not as a long term rental. Choose your dates and the number of guests to see availability and the full booking total.

Great Location and an immucately decorated house with amazing amenities. Lacked parking but the free carpark is 100m away so no issue and usually onstreet parking is available for loading/unloading the car. The House is extremely cosy and warm. I would like if they would provide more clear instructions on the heating beside the controller as we baked a few times with the heating. Also as the…

This is an urban location with no AC ( came during a heat wave). At the time of our stay there were no fans either . The 3rd floor is without a bathroom as an FYI for the layout. It’s an interesting conversation! The bedrooms are big.
