Lough Gill Lake House is perched on the edge of a natural lagoon that hums with wildlife: a resident family of swans, brown trout and flounder in the water, and the natterjack toad (Ireland's rarest amphibian) along its shores. Castlegregory village is a short walk away.

Recently renovated, the house mixes warm modern living with old-world charm and sleeps seven across three bedrooms. Just north of the lough runs a continuous 12 to 14 kilometre stretch of strand (Stradbally, Gowlane and Kilcummin on Brandon Bay) often cited as Ireland's longest sandy beach. Golf, water sports, hiking, fishing and horse riding are all within walking distance.

We booked this gem at the last minute and it was the perfect escape for the end of our holiday. Located very close to the small village of Castlegregory with some fun pubs, but on a quiet lane to Lough Gill just on the outskirts of town. We found plenty to do, even in winter, so I can only imagine what a delightful respite this home is in summer when all the fun water sports are available. Respons

We stayed here over Christmas and had a wonderful time in this comfortable, spacious house nestled down a little lane within walking distance of CastleGregory village. The views of the surrounding countryside, Lough Gill, the and the Dingle Peninsula are stunning and the house serves well as a little retreat to relax in. We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again.
