Cove & sea arch · A day trip from Listowel via the Tarbert ferry
A small cove at Ross on Loop Head, Co. Clare, beside the Bridges of Ross sea arch and a short ferry crossing from North Kerry.

Derrynadivva Bay, known locally as Ross Bay, is a horseshoe-shaped cove near the tip of the Loop Head peninsula. A patch of sand sits at its head, with shingle banks along the sides and flat sandstone ledges running into clear water. Every wave drags the stones back with it, so the whole shore rumbles in a way a sandy strand never does. The last standing arch of the Bridges of Ross is a few hundred metres west along the cliff path from the shared car park. From Listowel, drive to Tarbert and take the Shannon Ferries crossing to Killimer; allow about an hour and a half each way. There is no lifeguard, so swim only on calm days and stay inside the bay.
