The Lighthouse is a self catering holiday home in Fenit, Co. Kerry: a three bedroom house in The Lighthouse Village, a quiet estate at the Tralee end of Fenit. It is booked whole, nobody else stays there, and it sleeps eight: six adults and two children in the bunks.
All three bedrooms are upstairs and each has a double bed. The main bedroom has its own shower room; the other two share a bathroom with a bath, and one of them also has bunk beds, so a family with two children can sleep in one room. There is no bedroom on the ground floor and the sofa in the snug is not an extra bed.
Downstairs the living room has a fireplace, and a separate snug with doors to the garden gives a quiet corner to read or work. The kitchen has a large dining table, a dishwasher and its own door outside, and there is a third shower room on this floor for coming back from the beach. The utility room has a washing machine and a dryer. Heating is oil fired with thermostats on both floors, and bed linen and towels are provided.
The garden has apple trees, a low table for morning coffee and a wooden table for dinner outside. One car parks at the door and a second normally fits alongside. One dog is welcome, with a pet fee of 100 euro per stay.
Check-in is from 4pm with a lockbox at the door and check-out by 10am. It is the one holiday home in Fenit we manage, and the closest of our houses to Tralee.
