Holiday Cottages for Couples in Kerry

Most of our homes are built for families and groups. These four are the small ones: two bedroom cottages in Camp and Cloghane and a house alone under Mount Brandon, each let whole, so two people get the place to themselves. Below: what each one is like, who it suits, and the few things worth knowing before you choose.

4 small homesfrom €170 per nightbooked direct, no platform fees

Slate Cottage

Camp · sleeps 5 · 2 bedrooms · from €182 per night for the whole house

A restored stone cottage in Camp with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, bright inside the old walls, and the Dingle Way passing the door. Derrymore Strand is six minutes by car and the Camp pubs a short walk. The one of the four with a bathroom each, so nobody waits.

Dogs welcome, up to two, pet fee €100 per stay.

The Old Post Cottage

Camp · sleeps 4 · 2 bedrooms · from €187 per night for the whole house

Once the village post office, now a two bedroom cottage in the middle of Camp with a café next door for breakfast. For a couple who like being in the thick of village life, with the Local Link bus to Tralee and Dingle stopping outside. Lets from spring to mid September.

One small non-shedding dog per booking, pet fee €100 per stay, just tell us when you book.

The Swallow

Castlegregory · sleeps 5 · 2 bedrooms · from €170 per night for the whole house

A modern house on the edge of the Conor Pass valley with Mount Brandon over the roof and the only neighbours sheep. Two bedrooms, a steep stair, no television aerial and no pets: a place for two people who want walks from the door and nothing else. Fermoyle Beach is a short drive.

No pets at this home.

An Teach Beag

Cloghane · sleeps 4 · 3 bedrooms · from €225 per night for the whole house

A renovated traditional cottage at the entrance to Cloghane village under Mount Brandon, with a games room and a proper desk with fast Wi-Fi. For a couple mixing a week of remote work with the mountain, or a long stay. The village pub and shop are a few minutes on foot.

Dogs welcome, up to two, pet fee €100 per stay.

What a week for two looks like here

The north side of the Dingle Peninsula is quiet in a way the south side is not. Brandon Bay runs for twelve kilometres from Cloghane to the Maharees, and outside July and August you can walk it for an hour and meet nobody. The Conor Pass, Pedlar’s Lake and the Faha route up Mount Brandon start within minutes of three of these houses; the Dingle Way passes the door of the fourth.

Evenings are a pub in Cloghane or Camp, a drive over the pass to Dingle for seafood and music, or a fire and a book. Our eat and drink guide lists the places we send our own guests to, and the walks guide covers the routes from each door.

None of these homes is a hotel. There is no daily service, no reception and no restaurant. What there is: a whole house, a kitchen, a key in a lockbox and a local team on the phone if anything is wrong.

Good to know

Which of your homes suit a couple?

The four on this page: Slate Cottage and The Old Post Cottage in Camp, The Swallow above the Conor Pass and An Teach Beag in Cloghane. Each sleeps four or five, so a couple has the house to themselves with room for friends or a child on another trip.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, and it changes with the season. Outside summer most of these homes take two or three nights; in July and August the minimum is longer. Choose your dates on the house page and it shows the minimum for those dates and the live total.

Can we bring a dog?

Slate Cottage and An Teach Beag take up to two dogs, The Old Post Cottage one small non shedding dog by arrangement, and The Swallow takes no pets. The fee is €100 per stay where dogs are allowed, shown on the house page before you book.

Which is the most secluded?

The Swallow. It sits alone on the hill below the Conor Pass with a private driveway and sheep for neighbours. The two Camp cottages are in the village, and An Teach Beag is at the edge of Cloghane.

How far is Dingle town?

From Cloghane and The Swallow about half an hour over the Conor Pass; from Camp about 35 minutes by the main road. Our guide to Dingle town or the north side explains why most of our guests stay on this side.

How do we book?

Open the house page, choose your dates and the number of guests, and the page shows the live total. Pay online by card or send a request to our local team. There is no booking fee, and the direct price is below Airbnb for the same dates.
